Core process flow
A typical route connects washing and peeling, slicing, rinsing, blanching, dewatering, frying, deoiling, seasoning and packaging.
- Slice thickness affects blanching and frying.
- Surface water should be reduced before frying.
- Cooling and packaging must match the finished product condition.
Semi-automatic versus continuous
A semi-automatic project may retain manual transfer or batch frying. A continuous line coordinates conveyors, residence time and downstream speed.
- Compare labor at every transfer point.
- Check whether utilities support continuous heating.
- Match packaging speed to real line output.
Equipment list by function
Select each machine by its process duty: cleaning, sizing, conditioning, moisture removal, frying, oil management, seasoning and packing.
- Do not size the fryer independently of the slicer and blancher.
- Include oil filtration and cleaning access in fryer selection.
- Confirm package type before final conveyor design.
Project data to prepare
Provide potato variety, desired chip thickness, flavor, target output, heating source, voltage, workshop and package format.
What to Send Before Equipment Selection
Provide raw material, finished product, target throughput, package format, workshop dimensions, voltage, utilities, project stage and any local standard. These inputs allow a configuration discussion without inventing specifications.
